Ron Simmons, Director Of Music

Ron Simmons has been the Director of Music since 2007. Ron is a native Alabamian, originally from Gadsden. He studied music from the age of seven and he is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College. Ron was the owner-operator of Southeastern Managed Care until his retirement in 2009. He has been involved in church music for over 60 years, starting out at Union Hill Methodist Church, where he was raised. Prior to his service at Westminster, he served as Music Director at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Gadsden and Huntsville as well as at Trinity United Methodist Church in Huntsville. He was married to the late Rev. Katherine Elise Moss, who served as Associate Pastor at Trinity until her death in 2005. Ron has been active in the theatre community in Huntsville, and has served as Music Director for Theatre Huntsville Productions as well as productions for Renaissance Theatre. He is a 5-time Wings Award Winner in the Huntsville theatre community.
